The Secondary School years are so important! We want to make sure that the youth of Trinity Chippenham have plenty of opportunities to get their questions answered, grow in friendships with others, and get to know God in a truly personal way.

We have a weekly Youth Group that meets on a Wednesday evening from 7.30pm until 9pm. at the community room above the Doorways charity office in Chippenham town centre (Google Citadel Hall, SN15 2AB)

On a regular youth night we have time for chatting and sharing news of the week, fun and ridiculous games, a free snack bar, and small group Bible study lead by our TC Youth Leaders. We aim to cover a variety of content throughout the year including Bible studies on Old and New Testament books, apologetics and what Christianity has to say about big life questions, and topical studies around relationships, image, identity, social media, and other areas that can be difficult for teenagers to navigate in our current culture. TC Leaders use a variety of resources for our teaching, such as online video resources (including Right Now Media), interactive mark-up of Bible passages, creative learning through mind mapping, drawing, drama, as well as small group discussion/activities.

We run a 3:1 schedule. This means we have 3 weeks where the TC Youth Leaders lead small group studies followed by 1 social night. So far this year our socials have included nerf gun battles, bonfires and fireworks, outdoor cinemaacoustic night, milkshake bar, Lazer Quest, and Pizza Hut. There is never a dull moment in TC Youth!

Once a year we have a TC Youth weekend away. This year we are heading to Woodcroft Christian Centre in Chepstow for 2 nights in July.

We also have a TC Youth mentoring program offered for 11-18 year olds who wish to opt-in. They are matched up with a mentor in the church who they get on well with, who will arrange to meet up with them regularly throughout the year for friendship and support. We believe it's hugely significant for young people to have the opportunity to be supported in their growth as a Christian through these additional trusted relationships outside of their immediate family.

All our TC Youth Leaders and Youth Mentors have DBS checks, and we have a rigorous safeguarding policy in place. If you have any questions or would like to come along to TC Youth please use our contact form and our Youth Co-ordinator Jenny will get in touch with you.
